On February 13, 2019, P.S. welcomes Luke Wade, Founder of the popular Kansas City sports league, KC Crew.

Luke Wade is a native of Southesast Missouri, and after moving and falling in love with Kansas City as a young adult in 2012, Luke started KC Crew, a sports league and special events company with the purpose of bringing fun, organized events and sports leagues to downtown KC residents. The league has grown tremendously in its first 7 years, bringing in nearly 40,000 league participants and hosting large-scale, events with over 10,000 attendees in the KC Metro alone.  KC Crew just moved into the newly renovated Hy-Vee Arena as its biggest office and court rental tenant, which has already provided much needed room for growth.

Luke has a tech background which he has translated into marketing, using just email, text, Facebook/Instagram ads and KC Crew's website, to grow KC Crew's following and participation by 60% every year.  Luke has also launched a league management software, LeagueAlly, that will allow KC Crew to expand to other markets and help other organizations manage their sports leagues as efficiently as KC Crew. KC Crew is also expanding to manage marketing for other companies.

Many may be interested to know that Luke also enlisted in the Army National Guard and served 8 years including one tour of duty from 2004 until 2005 as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His next venture is a vintage sports bar concept in the old KC Star building in the crossroads to open in late 2019. Luke’s mission is to create thriving communities through sports and events.
